Do I need a Xero account?

Yes. PaidInstantly is built exclusively for Xero. You need an active Xero account to connect your clients.

Does the message come from my personal number?

No. We provide a professional UK Business Number (+44 7...) via the official WhatsApp API so you don't have to mix personal and business chats.

Is using WhatsApp for bookkeeping GDPR-compliant?

Personal WhatsApp is not designed for business data processing and creates GDPR risks. We use the official WhatsApp Business API, which is built for business use. Receipts go straight to Xero, not your personal phone, and data is managed at practice level.

Is my client data secure?

Absolutely. We use bank-level encryption, we are registered with the ICO (Reg: ZC073102), and we never store your Xero login credentials.

What happens if I hit the message limit?
